At SW Darkroom, we're more than just a darkroom rental service. We're a community of film photography aficionados, dedicated to keeping the traditional art of film processing alive and thriving. Located in the historic Royal Victoria Patriotic Building, we offer a unique blend of classic charm and modern facilities. From bespoke workshops to individual darkroom sessions, we cater to all levels of photographic skill and passion. Join us and be part of London's vibrant film photography scene.
Our Facilities
- Private enlarger cubicles for colour or black/white, suitable for single or double enlarger flash process.
- Imacon and Noritsu 1800 film scanner
- Newest technology Film Processing machine, dedicated colour and black/white processing
- Large Black and White Printing, up to 54 inches
- Colour Printing up to 20″ X 24″ with Colenta machine
- Print 35, 120, 4×5 or 8×10 negatives
- 2145mm x 1585mm sink with troughs, custom made for the darkroom with large black/white printing in mind
- Multiple trays, all chemicals provided
- Alternative process printing, including platinum palladium
- Booking availabilities in 4 hour slots, or for the whole day with technical assistance provided
- Viewing wall in natural light, with comfortable seating area
- Kettle, coffee machine and fridge
- Library with photography, darkroom technique books and magazines for perusal
- Car and bike parking on site

Outside our opening hours, feel free to drop off your film for development in our secure letterbox located next to our door.
